Conley Runner-Up at Ponderosa Speedway; Heads to Michigan with
Iron-Man Tour
(August
7, 2026) Rod Conley and his #71R team followed
the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series south to Ponderosa
Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky on Friday, July 31 for the
19th Annual “Hugh” Junebug Rowland Memorial. Rod stopped
the clock ninth quickest overall during the time trial session
prior to finishing a strong second in his heat race. After rolling
off from the outside of the third row for the start of the 30-lap
feature, "Hot Rod" vaulted to as high as second to finish
an impressive runner-up behind only $6,000 winner Adam Stricker!

Saturday's scheduled stop at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway
Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for the $7,500 to win Jackie Boggs
Kids Night was unfortunately nixed due to inclement weather.
Rod still finds himself second in the latest version of the
American Late Model Iron-Man Series point standings heading

Two more Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series contests
will be held this weekend (August 7-8) in the state of Michigan.
Rod Conley will be in action later tonight at I-96 Speedway
in Lake Odessa, Michigan, while Saturday will take the Conley
Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) team to Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy,
Michigan. Both races will pay $5,000 to the winner. Learn more
